NEW JERSEY NATURAL GAS RANKS FIRST IN THE REGION IN CUSTOMER SERVICE ACCORDING TO NEW STUDY

Power and Associates 2005 Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study.

The 2005 Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study, now in its fourth year, measures customer satisfaction with the 56 largest U.S. gas utility providers based on performance in five key areas: customer service, company image, price and value, billing and payment and field service. The findings were based on more than 12,000 telephone interviews with U.S. residential gas customers. Responses were collected between April and June of 2005.
NJNG’s ongoing commitment to customer service received a rating of 108, an increase of four points from the previous year. This placed the company first in customer service among the 16 East Coast utilities included in the study and well above the average for the region and industry.
Since the study began, NJNG has performed at or above the industry average in all categories measured and achieved an overall customer satisfaction rating greater than the regional average.
