NJNG OFFERS NEW ELECTRONIC BILLING OPTION FOR CUSTOMERS

WALL, N.J. – New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) today announced its new electronic bill presentment and payment option, E-Bill, is now available at njng.com. E-Bill is a no-cost feature that allows customers a paperless way to view and pay their monthly NJNG bills. E-Bill also allows customers the option of scheduling their bill payments through a one-time or recurring payment, using either their checking or savings account.

“We continually look to improve the services we provide our customers,” said Kathleen Ellis, NJNG’s chief operating officer. “E-Bill will make it easier for our customers to access their account and pay their bill, any where, any time. This is an added convenience today’s busy families can appreciate.”
   
The paperless E-Bill is the latest in a series of tools NJNG has been promoting to customers in an ongoing effort to reduce waste and conserve natural resources. Through NJNG’s Conserve to Preserve® program which promotes conservation and encourages emissions reductions, customers have already reduced their natural gas consumption by 88.7 million therms since 2006, avoiding the release of more than 1.1 billion pounds of carbon dioxide.   

To register, NJNG customers can visit “My Account” on njng.com. Those who are already registered My Account users can simply login and click on the “Register for E-Bill” button. After registering, customers will no longer receive a paper bill. When enrolled, customers will receive an e-mail from NJNG notifying them that their E-Bill is ready to be viewed. A link will take them directly to their account on njng.com. 

In addition to E-Bill, NJNG also helps customers manage their natural gas bills through the Budget Plan. This convenient option allows customers to plan their energy expenses by spreading their annual natural gas costs evenly over 12 months. To enroll, customers can simply pay the “Budget Option” amount and any other non-gas charges shown on their NJNG bill, prior to the due date. Customers can also register online by visiting My Account at njng.com.
